Rafaela studied a BAPVA at Wits University in 2011; majoring in Arts Management, Dance in Education and Psychology. Rafaela completed her Masters in Drama-therapy in 2015 and is currently a HPCSA registered drama-therapist. Rafaela has danced all her life and completed her Certificate in ballet teaching studies through the RAD in London. She has been involved with teaching and choreography for the past 7 years.


Leigh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and completed CBTS- The Ballet Teachers program through the Royal Academy of Dance base in London in 2011. Leigh has been dancing since the age of 3 years and has completed her Advanced 2 certificate within the RAD.

Leigh has been involved in teaching and choreography for the last 15 years and has attended numerous International Ballet competitions and ballet events.

She is also a proud mother to 3 young daughters.


Angela Kate Jones is a  registered ARAD freelance ballet teacher who has completed all her Royal Academy of dancing examinations and the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS). Angela completed her ballet training under the expertise of renowned ballet teachers such as Ethne Ferraris, Barbara Chonin, Felicity Heyns, Celeste Greef and Joyce Myroff. She is an ex professional dancer with the State Theatre Ballet Company.  Angela has completed  the RAD Grade 8 Award with Distinction in 1999 as well as RAD Advanced ballet examination in 1998 where she was a participant in the RAD Advanced Bursary Competition. Angela also performed her Solo Seal examination in 2000. While partaking in various Eisteddfods, Angela achieved top awards for performance in solos, duets, groups and repertoire sections where she was runner up and winner for Ballet Championships from 1996 to 1999. Angela has been teaching the RAD ballet method for the past 2 years. Her focus as a ballet teacher is on training to impart the knowledge of the intricate technique required for classical ballet examinations but also enforcing an enthusiastic approach to performance and musicality needed for examinations and stage work. She enjoys working with students of all age groups and is passionate about inspiring her students to express themselves through the love of dance.



Monique began her dance career on stage at the age of five and turned professional at 17 after achieving her Solo Seal Award (RAD) and Cecchetti Advanced exam. She graduated from the Johannesburg School of Art, Ballet Music, and Drama, where she participated in annual dance (and drama) performances throughout her high school career and graduated as ballet valedictorian. Straight out of school, she joined PACT Ballet as an aspirant and later danced as a soloist in many of the great ballets.

In the years following, she continued a highly successful dance career with the Playhouse Dance Company in KwaZulu-Natal as a soloist/principal dancer and choreographer with Mark Hawkins as Artistic Director. The company was very involved in outreach projects throughout KwaZulu-Natal and in training enthusiastic younglings in the art of dance and stage craft. Monique choreographed for major charity events like Nite of 100 Stars, and Durban’s famous annual December variety shows with renowned artists like Joseph Clark. The company toured extensively in South Africa and performed at the Grahamstown Festival annually and further abroad in places like Basel, Switzerland, by invitation.

Monique later joined Free Flight Dance Company under Adele Blank. With Free Flight, Monique participated in dance seasons at the Joburg Theatre and other theatres across the country, and in many corporate events over ten years as a dancer and choreographer.

Her professional career included performing in musicals like “Me and My Girl”, choreographed by the Tony Award winning choreographer Gillian Gregory, and “Grease, the Musical” as a dancer, actress, and ensemble singer.

Her dance career led naturally into teaching, and for the last fifteen years she has been a Royal Academy of Dance teacher, working as a freelancer and choreographer. She has adjudicated many dance festivals and bursaries across the country and continues to remain involved in furthering the education of young performers. She has won numerous national and international awards for her choreography for dance competitions and festivals.

Monique is also a professional actress represented by Leads Artists Agency, and a published author, and is currently working on two plays and other professional writing projects while she continues in the field of dance as a mentor, choreographer, and teacher to students and adults of all ages.


Celeste started her early ballet training with Gail McConaghy. She attended the National School of the Arts and completed her RAD major examinations with Marjorie Sturman. Celeste was also taught Classical Greek by Jean Beckley and Spanish dancing by Mercedes Molina. Celeste danced with PACT Ballet and was also a dancer for Adele Blanks Free Flight Dance Company for many years. Celeste has taught the RAD Children Syllabus and Vocational Examinations up to Solo Seal and professional status. She served on the East Rand Dance Festival Committee and was chairperson for 5 years. Celeste is a popular guest teacher and accomplished adjudicator. Celeste has successfully trained pupils that have excelled at ballet schools and competitions nationally and internationally.
